Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough cost estimations for materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
Analyze and compare supplier bids and proposals to determine the most cost-effective options.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost forecasts.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial targets.
Track and report on cost variations and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Work closely with the finance department to reconcile invoices and payments.
Perform quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
Accurately measure and document quantities of materials and labor required for project execution.
Verify quantities delivered against purchase orders and reconcile any discrepancies.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to procurement activities.
Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
Implement effective risk management protocols in collaboration with project teams.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of procurement processes, contracts, and agreements.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
